MLB broadcaster weighs in on Aaron Judge’s batting stance and approach at the plate

Things aren’t working quite well for Aaron Judge in recent times. The Yankees captain has had a slow start to the new season and has been under the microscope for his current form. Many are unhappy with Judge’s recent performances this season and expect more on-field contributions from him.

In a recent episode of Talkin’ Yanks, broadcaster Jake Storiale weighed in on Judge’s batting stance and his approach at the plate so far this season. He said:

“I’ll give Judge the EMF or something’s clearly off. I mean, the rays were literally spamming the outside slider like it was a bad video game, like the 2000s and bizarre to see judgy look like that that had us spinning about injury. I don’t know he looks a little far from the plate. I feel like judge used to he was covering that outside corner. There was the one offseason he went in. “

“It was the one big thing he had to work on sliders away and he was either taking them or if they were in the zone, he was driving them. Now it feels like that outside slider, he kind of has no idea what’s going on. He swung at a fastball that was pretty inside. It wasn’t Judgy like, that’s not a ball Judge goes after and then I was like is judges kind of not sure where the plate is right now.”

So far this season, Aaron Judge has a batting average of .183, along with an OPS of .674. In 82 at-bats, Judge has just made seven runs, has 15 hits, five doubles, and three home runs.

Aaron Boone and the team would surely hope their captain finds his groove and returns to the form that loyal Yankee fans anticipate.

Aaron Judge unscathed by ‘boos’ from fans after lackluster performance

The Yankees were frustrated after facing a 2-0 defeat against the Blue Jays on Saturday. The club’s loyal fans were disheartened by the result and expressed their discontent by booing Aaron Judge, the team’s captain.

The noise of boos was heard from all around the stadium after Judge failed to help his team take advantage and eventually Jays took the lead in the tenth inning and won the game at the end.

In the post-game interview, the former NL MVP was questioned about how he felt facing those boos from the Yankees stadium crowd. However, Judge appeared calm and composed about it. He said:

“I’ve heard worse, and I’d probably be doing the same thing in this situation.”

Aaron Judge seems to be pretty confident about getting his form soon as the season keeps rolling. The Yankees will face the Oakland Athletics on Monday, and fans hope to see Judge return to his old MVP form and be a deciding factor for his team.
